TAEKWON DO ITF CELEBRATION IN TRIADITSA SPORTS HALL Print E-mail

The Open Taekwon Do ITF City Tournament took place on 20.02.2010 in sports hall Triaditsa.
Organisers of the event were the Sports Association of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior, Central Police Taekwon Do Club, Bulgarian Taekwon Do Association and Triaditsa region.

The Tournament is a part of the program Young Friends of Police, realized under the patronage of the mayor of Triaditsa region – Mr. Evtim Evtimov.

80 children aged 6-13 participated in the event.

In the final ranking winners are the representatives of CPTC, second place took the team of Taekwon Do Club CSKA and third place – Taekwon Do Club of the Police Academy.
 
The next Taekwon Do competition within the frames of the program Young Friends of Police will be organized on 20.03.2010 at G. Asparuhov Stadium.  

 
250 CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN SHOOTING TRAINING Print E-mail

More than 250 children from 11 schools in Sofia participated in the sports shooting training, organized by the Sports Association of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior and Levski Shooting Club. The event is a part of the program Young Friends of Police and its main goal is making children practise more sports and becoming familiar with work of the police and law forces.
Leaders of the training were elite competitors and coaches of Levski Shooting Club and the two time Olympic champion Tanyu Kiryakov.
Each child practised shooting with air rifle and pistol. Surprisingly good results were achieved and the young shooters received awards from the organizers. The training of the Olympic champion Maria Grozdeva done together with the children was very interesting for them.  
 

 
END OF THE TOURNAMENT 3 IN 1 WITHIN THE FRAMES OF THE PROGRAM YOUNG FRIENDS OF POLICE Print E-mail

On 06.02.2010 in sports hall Triaditsa in Sofia the final competition in mini football within the frames of the Tournament 3 in 1 took place. Winner in the discipline after 30 games is the team of 34th school. The team of the winner defeated the team of 104th school ate final with result 1:0. Third place took the team of 64th school and fourth – the team of 25th school.
In the teams of 57th and 34th school together with the boys good football skills showed also the girls who were applauded by the spectators in the sports hall.
In the complex ranking after the competitions in the three disciplines with the greatest number of points and two first places winners is the team of 132nd school. Second place goes to the team of 104th school and third to the team of 34th school. All participants expressed their satisfaction of the perfect organization and the wonderful conditions of the Tournament.

 
NATIONAL SKI AND BIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP FOR POLICE OFFICERS Print E-mail

The National Ski and Biathlon Championship for Police Officers took place in Bansko during the period 26.-28.01.2010.
The perfect organization of the competition and the perfect condition of the ski slopes gave the chance of the competitors to show their abilities. /Pictures/

THE PRESIDENT OF USPE OPENED THE NATIONAL POLICE SKI AND BIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP IN BANSKO Print E-mail

The official opening of the 42nd National Police Ski and Biathlon Championship took place on 25.01.2010 on the square of Bansko. Mr. Kalin Georgiev – General Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Sports Association together with Mr. Luc Smeyers – President of the European Police Sports Union welcomed the competitors.
"Bulgaria is a very valuable member of USPE and I am here to express the respect of the board of our Union to the great job performed by the members of the Sports Association of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior" – declared Mr. Smeyers in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Championship.

 
YOUNG FRIENDS OF POLICE – 3 IN 1 TOURNAMENT – VOLLEYBALL Print E-mail

The competitions in volleyball within the frames of the Tournament 3 in 1 from the program Young Friends of Police took place in Triaditsa sports hall on 23.01.2010. After the six hours tournament winners became the students from 132nd school. The final competitions of the Tournament will be held on 06.02.2010 in indoor soccer.

 
2009 ANNUAL AWARDING CEREMONY OF THE SPORTS ASSOCIATION OF THE BULGARIAN MINISTRY OF INTERIOR Print E-mail

The 2009 Annual Awarding Ceremony of the Sports Association of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior was held on 21.01.2010 in the Ministry of Interior. /Pictures/
The event attended the following: Mr. Veselin Vuchkov – Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Pavlin Dimitrov – Deputy Minister of Interior, Boyko Slavchev – Head of the Office of the Minister of Interior, Mr. Lazar Kamenov and Mr. Ivan Tsenov – Deputy Ministers of Sport and Mrs. Stefka Kostadinova – President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee. The best sportsmen, coaches and sports figures received their awards for their success during the year of 2009. For exclusive success in the elite sport, awards received Stanka Zlateva – Wrestling, Maria Grozdeva – Shooting, Krum Donchev – Auto sport, Petar Stoychev – Swimming. Best sports person of the year is Silviya Danekova – police officer in Border Police. Mr. Veselin Vuchkov expressed his sincerest gratitude to everyone who achieved great success and that way proved the dignity and authority of our country and the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior.

 
KALIN GEORGIEV– GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR – ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE SPORTS ASSOCIATION Print E-mail

The General Assembly of the Sports Association of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior was held on 21.01.2010.
Delegates of the sports clubs members of the SA listened discussed and approved the report of the Managing Committee for the year of 2009, accepted the sports calendar and the financial plan for year 2010.
A few changes in the Managing Committee were performed. Mr. Kamen Penkov, Krasimir Petrov, Veselin Petrov, Zhivko Zhivkov, Nikolay Denev and Georgi Vidinov had to leave, because they no longer work in the Ministry of Interior. The new elected members of the Managing Committee are as follows: Boris Dimitrov, Vesel Pendichev, Diana Ivanova and Mr. Kalin Georgiev – General Secretary of the Ministry of Interior as Chairman of the Sports Association.
