REGIONAL POLICE SELF DEFENCE CHAMPIONSHIP Print E-mail

The Regional Police Self Defence Championship took place on 29.06.2010 at Rakovski Stadium in Sofia. 10 teams from 7 regional police directorates participated in the event – separated in Region 1 (West) and Region 6 (Sofia).

During the period 23.-25.06.2010 in Sofia the National Police Pistol Shooting Review was held. 160 police officers from 24 regional police directorates participated in the event.

YOUNG FRIENDS OF POLICE PROGRAM – BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT Print E-mail

The Beach Volleyball Tournament for Children from the program Young Friends of Police, organized by the Sports Association of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior took place on 19th and 20th June 2010 on Rakovski Beach Arena. Competitors from sports clubs Levski, Slavia, CSKA, Lokomotiv – Sofia and Septemvri – 12 doubles boys and 12 doubles girls participated in the event.

EUROPEAN POLICE AND FIRE GAMES Print E-mail

The European Police and Fire Games took place in Valencia, Spain on 08th and 09th June 2010. The Bulgarian police team participated in the Ju Jitsu competitions. In the discipline Duo Men Michail Nestorov and Deyan Danailov took third place and in the Fighting discipline Deyan Danailov took third place too.
During the Games the instructors Toni Petrov and Michail Nestorov presented the discipline Police Self Defence to the Vice-president and the Board of the Games. The idea was enthusiastically accepted and the sport will be a part of the next European Police and Fire Games in 2011. The discipline will be also presented at the World Police and Fire Games in New York, USA in 2011.

 
2010 NATIONAL POLICE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP Print E-mail

The National Police Tennis Championship was held in Sofia from 10 to 12 June 2010. 56 competitors from 16 police departments participated in the event. The winners received additional awards – SPA holiday and sports goods` vouchers.

On 12 June 2010 at Rakovski Beach Arena was held the 1st Beach Soccer City Championship for Police Officers. Organisers of the event were Sports Association – Bulgarian Ministry of Interior, Beach Soccer Commission – Bulgarian Football Union and Beach Soccer and Futsal Police Club, which were supported by Planificaciones Mundiales Grup, Gaztrans, Terra Credit.

REPRESENTATIVE POLICE TEAM WIN Print E-mail

The match between the representative football teams of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior and the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office took place at the National Vasil Levski Stadium on 07.06.2010. The event attended the UK Ambassador in Bulgaria Mr. Steve Williams, the Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Veselin Vuchkov and other officials. The final result of the game is 6:1 in favour of the representative police team.

After the end of the match a cocktail for both teams was organized in the residency of the UK Embassy in Sofia.

 
2010 NATIONAL POLICE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP Print E-mail

The National Police Football Championship took place in sea resort Albena from 30.05. until 06.06.2010. Totally 38 matches were played in both phases of the event. The final match was played between the teams of Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Sofia and Bourgas. During the regular time the result was 0:0, therefore the final winner was determined by penalties. Thus the new police football champion is the team of Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Bourgas with result 2:1. Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Haskovo won the fair play award. The organisers of the Sports Association – Bulgarian Ministry of Interior provided balls for all participants and for the teams who took the first eight places – football equipment. The prizes were awarded by the directors of RDMOI Dobrich Commissioner Stefan Yonchev and RDMOI Bourgas – Commissioner Milen Dimitrov.
